Slowly but surely, my stock is expanding and
so is my still limited ability to get a good picture. However,
this is what's available at the moment and remember, things are always
changing here at But of Quartz! If you're interested in a
particular
piece, contact me and
refer
to the filename of the picture, and we'll see what we can do. Keep reading for more information.
The Merchandise
We Promise! More to come in the hopefully not too distant future!!!!
This
bold piece features champagne pearls accented with mother of pearl
leaves in white and a natural champagne color, all to set off a
startling 90 millimeter mother of pearl leaf pendant. Hanging
down a deep 21.5 inches, this is a set for your bold and
outspoken side -- and serves as a great reminder that it can't hurt to
turn over a new leaf!
This
basic piece is made from banded agate chips (I BELIEVE they're
Botswana Agate, I may be wrong) and a quartz pendant which I wrapped
with
18 gauge silver wire. Measuring about 16 inches, it can be
adjusted if you need. I'll also be making more pieces along
these lines, so if you have any requests, make them!

Truly a delightful set!! I was lucky enough to find blue peacock pearls
that perfectly matched the focus of the 18.5 inch necklace, a Biwa
"stick" pearl measuring 28mm -- over an inch long! This beauty is set
as the focus of a necklace and flanked immediately by white button
pearls. But wait, there's more!! This set comes with a ring (approx.
size 9) and a bracelet as well as earrings -- all matched! (only one
stick pearl though, sorry!)
It isn't
amber, but this huge marquis-style cabochon citrine pendant on long
honey jade beads could pass! At 18 inches, it's a taste of sweet
summery sunlight to wear on even the darkest night to add a touch of
warm color to anything!
25
inches of lapis lazuli and moonstone chips accented by moonstone chunks
flank a matching pendant and earrings of lapis cabochons set in silver,
a piece with some personal history from which I'm reluctant to
part. The necklace and earrings, not the history.
^_^ It's waiting to make a new story with someone new -- could
it be you?
White
biwa stick pearls alternate with lapis rounds to make a stunning
choker style necklace of 17 inches. Brighten up that denim
jacket, or wow them all at cocktail hour with your finest!
(Also meets the "something blue" requirement, girls! ^_^ )
Om,
my goodness! This citrine chip necklace supports three quartz
points on either side of a silver stylized Tibetan Om pendant. -- yes,
that's another total of 7. I have three available at the moment,
at 24, 24.5 and 26 inches. This is a wonderful piece for
meditation or conversation -- and EXCELLENT for clearing your mind!

I have been asked many times about why there
are no prices posted. This is for several reasons, not the least
of which is that some are open to negotiation at need. However, I
do have a current database of anything shown here so please feel free
to ask or make an offer. If you choose to do so, however, please
remember that I do use natural stones and pearls!
Thanks. ^_^ Prices may yet be posted separately; I'll make
sure that's clearly posted if and/or when it should happen.
While I have changed the layout a little bit, I'm afraid this is still rather a graphics intensive page, so I ask forgiveness. Still, with the smaller pictures available on this page linking to their large counterparts, it should be a little less painful... At the moment, all were taken on 10/14/03 between about 1 and 2:30pm in Brooklyn on a partly cloudy day on an eastward facing porch (you can tell for which pictures the sun was out) with an Olympus digital camera, edited with Paint Shop Pro.
DISCLAIMERS: Any pictures here depict
complete
sets; some may be enhanced by the addition of earrings but if something
is shown as a set, it can only be sold as a set. Earring backs
can
be changed unless otherwise noted. Please keep in mind that all
measurements are approximate, and occasionally some small details may
be changed since the pictures were taken.
All the work, from design to their appearance here on this web site,
was
done by myself, so if you have any comments, questions, or complaints,
please direct them to me. Any corrections made will be posted as
soon as possible. All my materials are natural, to the best of my
knowledge, though occasionally I do use dyed materials, including some
pearls-- all of which are freshwater pearls. Please don't copy
any
of my work; if you do I shall have to hunt you down and cry very hard,
and then I'll make whichever of my friends is bigger than you beat you
up. And they'll probably ask me for funding for any trips they
make
for that purpose, so again I ask you not to copy because it'll be more
trouble than it's worth. ^_^
While I know there are more now than there were before, I'm afraid I don't have any more pictures ready to post.... With luck I'll be able to get more up soon and keep things coming for you! Thanks again, if you've made it this far!!!!
